The Development Associate assists the Brewster Foundation director to plan, organze and conduct events that further the goals of the Brewster Foundation. He or she works with and cultivates donors and donor interests through direct contact and by participation in Brewster Place and Brewster Foundation activities and events. He or she also tracks and maintains donor files.
The Development Associate will have the ability to complete tasks independently and take initiative to assist in the process of donor cultivation.
The ideal candidate for this position has a post-secondary education (associate's degree, certification, or relevant coursework), two years experience as an Administrative Assistant, and the skills and experience to provide high-level administrative support. He or she must have strong administrative and organizational skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong problem solving skills, and excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
This is a full time 30 hour position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
