We are seeking a reliable Certified Lab Supervisor to join our facility.
Responsibilities:
Assumes accountability for the lab operations across the organization, including the hospital outpatient laboratories Collaborates with other departments, medical professionals, consultants, and organizations (including government agencies and advocacy groups) to develop, support, and coordinate patient care and related administrative functions.
Assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the day to day function of lab instrumentation throughout the outpatient facilities across the organization.
Provides professional laboratory guidance and direction to lab personnel, and hospital and regional leaders while focusing on patients, physicians, employees, and the community.
Provides guidance while focusing on efficiency, compliance, and clinical excellence Installs and oversees implementations of lab equipment in new facilities Trains lab personnel on lab equipment Highly knowledgeable of CLIA, CAP and COLA standards and safety/compliance regulations Creates clerical and administrative tools, such as manuals, learning modules, policies, process flowcharts Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshoots lab instrument failures Provides instruction on daily maintenance Provides preventative maintenance as needed across the organization Acts as a role model for excellence in care and professionalism showing a high degree of leadership Possesses excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Manages multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities Monitors and evaluates quality utilizing statistical data, graphs, charts, and other trending patterns Communicates and presents information effectively to groups and/or individuals with all levels of staff and management Review all quality control and process improvements within the lab Responsible for all instrument validations and/or coordinating with the equipment rep Technical consultant for CLIA moderate complexity clinical laboratories Resolve analyzer and/or test discrepancies, problems, and patient errors Review and monitor all maintenance procedures Vast knowledge of laws, regulations and standards of accrediting agencies Attendance requirements are based on your current role and status of position (FT, PT or PRN).

Certification:
Certification/registration as a Medical Technologist MT (ASCP) or equivalent, required Minimum of 5 years of supervisory lab operations experience Minimum of 3 years of technical instrumentation experience Minimum of 1
years Management experience required Highly knowledgeable of CLIA, CAP and COLA standards with a minimum of 3 years of working in a COLA/CAP accredited lab Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations that apply to lab operations in an ER setting Credentials BLS Job Type:
