Francis Registered Nurses function under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.
The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family.
The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) duties include:
The overall direction and supervision of all patient care during his/her shift.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing patient care.
Satisfies the established standards of the nursing practice.
Supervises and delegates patient care tasks to LVN/LPN or CNA and other patient care team members.
Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned Accountable for self and self-actions:
Engages in self-evaluation of practice and takes action to improve knowledge and skills.
Promotes consensus building and applies techniques of conflict resolution and conduct improvement.
Retains accountability for quality of care given to the patient Qualifications Requirements:
2 year degree in nursing Current Kansas RN Licensure.
BLS Certification One year RN experience Physical Requirements:
Ability to move and lift 40 pounds without assistance and obtain assistance as needed.
Hearing:
Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone Speaking:
Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone Vision:
Visual acuity to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens Physically capable of listening and understanding OR personnel wearing routine OR attire, i.

Reading and reviewing hand-written notation and directives.
Transporting patients via wheelchair to private vehicle upon discharge.
Assisting patients from wheelchair into private vehicle as needed.
