The Specialist will work in our home office in Topeka, Kansas.
SB associates are working in a hybrid environment with both remote and on-site work.

What Does the Job Look Like? The Help Desk Specialist contributes to the service effectiveness and quality of the IT Department by providing excellent customer communications, problem logging, research and resolution for all IT systems.
The Help Desk Specialist will be the customers' first contact for any computer or system-related problem, new equipment or software needs.
The Help Desk Specialist will log, evaluate, and resolve hardware and software problems over the telephone and via e-mail and refer more complex issues to the appropriate group within IT.
Answer incoming Help Desk calls, analyzing requests, trouble-shooting with focus on an immediate resolution, and routing calls to appropriate personnel and groups as needed Provide proper interaction and communications with customer, management, and other team members by telephone, e-mail, or face-to-face communication Resolve client/server and computer problems by investigation, research, and analysis Utilizes support center software to log or follow up on each customer call, enter call status, and document resolution Maintains proper communication with customer regarding a service call until the call is resolved or dispatched to the appropriate staff Applies appropriate customer service concepts to daily activities such as communicating service levels, provides necessary status reports, maintains high customer satisfaction levels, has an awareness of industry trends/changes and creates solutions that meet customer needs Informs supervisor of any abnormal circumstances or major outages and escalates calls according to severity Who Are You? You have six months or more of Help Desk environment experience Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications or a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software Exposure to Microsoft Windows 10/11 desktop environments Exposure to Apple products:
MacBook, iPhone, and iPad An ability and willingness to learn hardware and software products supported at Security Benefit and Zinnia A knowledge of customer service and customer relations protocol Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills Able to deal effectively with all levels of associates from within the company Available to work hours that will allow the Information Center to be adequately staffed to support the working hours of our internal customers Preferred Qualifications Computer hardware/software knowledge A+, Net+, and/or MCDST; or current progress towards these certifications What Security Benefit Can Offer You?
