Job Description:
Administrative / Accounting Payee Assistant The Payee Department performs several functions.
Representative Payee for SSDI and SSI beneficiaries Assisting Payee and Finance Departments The Payee Assistant role and
Responsibilities:
Pay consumer bills via checks, scheduled EFT & ACH payments.
Update transactions daily into access database software.
Record transactions and maintain both paper and electronic documents.
Maintain accurate, current information on payee consumers.
Generate monthly and annual reports as needed.
Reconcile bank accounts and assist with financial reporting.
Work directly with individuals with a mental health diagnosis.
Other duties as assigned by Director.
Payee Assistant Administrative Duties:
Filing paper and electronic documents accurately.
Enter, process and maintain financial information.
Courteous phone and email communications.
In person, compassionate customer service to a vulnerable population.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
