The Trust Operations Associate I - Securities Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the investable assets held by the company's Trust clients.
Securities Accounting includes, but is not limited to, ensuring securities transactions are appropriately authorized, confirmed, executed and subsequently recorded accurately and timely in the Trust Accounting System.
The Associate is responsible for calculating the daily cash settlement requirements and for requesting incoming and outgoing settlement wires.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities also include monitoring and posting maturities and/or calls, posting periodic principal and interest payments, as well as ensuring appropriate allocation and posting of other investment income (i.
e.
dividends) and expenses to client accounts.
Responsible for ensuring mutual fund trade orders are submitted daily according to published cut-off schedules.
Serves in a back-up capacity to other departmental positions as necessary and supports the Trust Department Investment Officer as requested.
Core Duties & Responsibilities Follows the Company's established policies and procedures Serves as the departmental expert in trade processing and is responsible for obtaining an in-depth understanding of securities operations and the functionality within the core Trust Accounting System Conducts all interactions with internal and external customers in accordance with The CoreFirst Way Trade Processing & Reconcilement Performs daily operational duties, such as monitoring trade activity and ensuring trades are executed as authorized, including monitoring and authenticating 3rd party trades settling through the Banks custodian (i.
e.
ad-hoc arrangements) Reconciles Daily Transaction Reports of third-party custodians to the Trust Accounting System records Monitors preliminary and final settlement reports from the custodian and reconciles to internal supporting documentation Retrieves, validates and uploads external source data into the Trust Accounting System Ensures all trades are appropriately authorized, confirmed/affirmed and processed according to internal procedures Calculates the Daily Cash Settlement needs by custodian and ensures outgoing and incoming wire transfers are requested and processed timely and accurately Monitors and resolves unsettled, erroneous/failed trades or other similar exceptions and reports to the proper level of management Securities Accounting and Reconcilement Posts periodic Principal and Interest Payments received on client securities Reconciles and posts dividend and interest receipts to the Trust Accounting System; identifies and resolves discrepancies Processes and posts calls and maturities Processes and posts reinvested dividends and capital gain transactions Processes Treasury Auctions Forecasting and Analysis Uses Excel-based modeling and data analysis to forecast investment income and proactively monitors projections provided by the custodian to information available in the Trust Accounting System to identify early indicators of erroneous postings and to correct anticipated issues prior to transaction posting Quality Assurance and Internal Control Responsibilities Ensures that relevant regulations pertaining to trade and broker recordkeeping, confirmations and other pertinent requirements are adhered to within the scope of Trust Operations' responsibilities Ensures the operational effectiveness of trading control functions required under 12CFR208.

Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Experience:
Preferred Experience Previous Trust and banking experience 2 years Trust Operations experience, specifically in Securities Operations Experience with TrustRite, Trust Accounting System Licensure:
Upon hire, successful completion of various Schools of Trust or Securities Operations will be required Skills & Abilities:
