repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component levelThe CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installationsOur electronic technicians apply working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks in working on various types of electronic equipmentJob specific tasks include:
Perform testing and repair of simple to medium complexity electronic and electromechanical equipment using common hand tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, frequency counters, and oscilloscopes, etc.)o Diagnose and repair items to the component level using common hand tools and test equipmento Follow instructions which cover virtually all procedureso Receive technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher-level technicianso Work is given detailed review when new or advanced assignments are involvedo Performs other related duties as assigned #CRF2023 Qualifications Basic
Qualifications:
o High school graduate or equivalento Formal electronics training from an accredited program or equivalent military trainingo U.SCitizenship Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Must have knowledge and ability to perform component level repairs on simple to medium complexity electronic/electromechanical itemso Understanding of basic troubleshooting techniqueso Solid state electronics, and digital and analog theory trainingo Understanding of general test equipmento Knowledge of schematic symbols, values and their meaning Preferred
Qualifications:
o Experience with handling of ESD sensitive itemso J-STD-001 certificationo ISCET Certified Electronic Technician (CET) certification Physical Requirements:
