The Trust Operations Associate I - Securities Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely accounting of the investable assets held by the company's Trust clients.
Securities Accounting includes, but is not limited to, ensuring securities transactions are appropriately authorized, confirmed, executed and subsequently recorded accurately and timely in the Trust Accounting System.
The Associate is responsible for calculating the daily cash settlement requirements and for requesting incoming and outgoing settlement wires.
Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:
Perform daily operational tasks related to trade processing, ensuring trades are executed accurately and in line with established procedures Handle various aspects of investment operations, including monitoring trade activity, reconciling reports, and processing settlements Utilize the Trust Accounting System for trade processing and maintain expertise in securities operations Conduct tasks such as reconciling daily transaction reports, validating external data, and ensuring timely and accurate wire transfers Address unsettled trades, errors, and exceptions, reporting them to management as necessary Post periodic principal and interest payments, reconciling receipts, and resolving discrepancies Utilize Excel-based modeling for forecasting investment income and monitoring projects for accuracy Ensure compliance with relevant regulations pertaining to trade and broker recordkeeping Support external audits and regulatory examinations by providing documentation and necessary assistance Act as a support resource for different departmental functions as needed Follow company policies and procedures in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders Please note this description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.

Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Experience:
Basic understanding of financial and investment concepts is a plus Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is beneficial Prior experience in a financial institution or similar setting is advantageous, but not mandatory Preferred, but not Required Previous trust and banking experience Familiarity with TrustRite or other Trust Accounting Systems Licensure:
Upon hire, successful completion of various Schools of Trust or Securities Operations will be required Skills & Abilities:
