Ag Mechanic/Operator

Gpac is working with a reputable farming operation to hire an individual for their Ag Operations. The individual will perform all phases of field operations for crop production and assist in maintaining and repairing all equipment needed in the farm operations with an emphasis on chemical/fertilizer application.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detailed oriented and devoted to farming.

Responsibilities:


  • Operate and drive the various types of equipment needed in the company's farm operation.
  • Maintain knowledge of computer controls used with all precision ag equipment.
  • Assist in performing all maintenance and repairs where needed on all equipment and vehicles used in the farming operations.
  • Continually monitor and report all technical, mechanical and safety concerns.

Ag Operations Preferred
Qualifications:


  • Experience in the operation of farm equipment including tractors, harvesters, cultivators, tillage equipment, etc.
  • Knowledge of chemicals and their handling or application requirements.
  • Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License.
  • Agricultural knowledge of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
  • Good mechanical aptitude to detect and correct or repair equipment issues.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
