Description
North American Tire
accounting
is responsible for ensuring the accuracy
and integrity of North American Tire's consolidated financial statements
for both internal and external reporting. This includes month end
closing routines for inter-company consolidation, inventory valuation,
customer sales programs, benefit accounting, revenue recognition, budget
vs. actual analysis, cash flow analysis and balance sheet analytics.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or other business field is required; CPA and/or an MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
A minimum of 2 years of accounting, auditing and/or financial analysis experience (preferably in a large corporate or manufacturing organization, or public accounting firm).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Understanding of US GAAP, accounting for complex transactions and familiarity with internal controls in compliance with SOX.
Demonstrated knowledge of
computer
systems
: Microsoft Office Products, (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); SAP and Hyperion Essbase is preferred.
Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly. Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives.
Demonstrates ethical and moral behavior; unquestionable integrity and character.
Ability to support accounting/finance decisions with logical evidence and persuasively present position.
Ability to communicate or present information, both verbally and written , effectively with all levels of the organization.
Flexible, able to work extended hours and travel as required.
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Tasks
Complete detail level of support to Procurement business (Category managers and leads) and Supply chain for supplier data research (volume purchases, terms, products, and working capital).
Provide and support all assigned periodic reports and information in accordance with deadlines, including MOR, S&OP and AOP within required timeline, and SOX quarterly review documents.
Provide clear, accurate information for managing and accounting for a segment of the business, in accordance with accounting principles, government regulations and Company
practices
and policies.
