JOB TITLE: Intern, Lineman
DEPARTMENT: Power Delivery
LOCATION: Multiple locations available within Westar territory
PAY RANGE: $18.33 per hour
Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under direction of journeyman lineman will build overhead and underground distribution, secondary, and service lines. Cold construction only, no hot work.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be enrolled in a certified Electric Power Program and have completed first half of certification.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Must be dependable, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with other company personnel. Must be physically able to perform work as directed. Interns will operate motor driven equipment used in overhead maintenance and construction work.
Licenses, Certifications:
Must possess a valid drivers license, climbing certificate, CPR and first aid certificate.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor working conditions, in occasional adverse weather. Overtime hours may be required. Must have a satisfactory work record including good attendance.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
