The Dietary Aide helps the Cook prepare food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures. In addition, he or she prepares the dining room for meals, sets up trays, and cleans up after meals and must be willing to help all kitchen and dining room staff to increase efficiency and ensure quality food and beverage service.
The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and one year of experience in a food service setting is preferred. He or she must be able to maintain excellent sanitary practices and must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in serving the elderly and disabled.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
