Administrative Support Assistant

Provides support in multiple areas, including maintaining calendar and scheduling meetings, briefings and conference calls, completing special projects and reports, preparing for and reporting on meetings, correspondence and other special events. Prepares agenda, records minutes and develops standard or form letters and replies to inquiries. Ensures that written briefings and correspondence are correct and in the proper format. Tracks timely completion of projects and responses required by the Associate Director. Maintains log of issues to assure tracking of a broad range of WFM program and administrative issues. Serves as liaison with persons and/or groups within and outside of the WFM organization or office. Maintains strict confidence, discretion and security regarding sensitive, personal and controversial matters. Promotion Potential:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note:

GS-07 Specialized
Experience:
You must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience, which equips you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Administrative Support Assistant, GS-07 position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, this specialized experience must have been equivalent to the grade 06 level in Federal service to qualify at the grade 07. Examples of specialized experience include:
1) Maintains an office file for correspondence, regulations, manuals, technical bulletins, circulars, instructional letters, other miscellaneous logs, and publications issued and or utilized by various sections. 2) Tracks timely completion of projects and responses required by Management. 3) Maintains calendars, schedules meetings, briefings, and conference calls. 4) Compose and edits letters and reports, review correspondence for accuracy and completeness. 5) Maintains communication with persons and groups from both within and outside the organization, speaking for their principal on administrative issues. 6) Ensures that written briefings and correspondence are correct and in proper format. 7) Tracks controlled correspondence and maintains documents on WFM SharePoint, shared drives, etc. as appropriate. Evidence of specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held on your resume. You must provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary, and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish you have one (1) full year of Specialized Experience at or comparable to the required grade level. Physical Requirements:
The work is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting at a desk, working with computers daily. Some work may require walking in offices and similar areas for meetings. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
