Maintenance Mechanic Leader

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Performs duties in an independent manner under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor Review and complete tasks as noted on work orders Maintain and repair service equipment Installs new component and equipment in the areas of plumbing, electrical and medical air systems Repairs,Repairs, troubleshoots, and performs maintenance on vital hospital equipment including beds, stretchers, and medical air, vacuum and oxygen systems. Observes team members to ensure that they are using supplies and equipment properly so as to avoid waste and damage. Diagnoses problems with medical air, oxygen and vacuum systems in hospital without more than normal supervision Diagnoses problems with medical air, oxygen and vacuum systems in hospital without more than normal supervision. Uses measuring devices, tapes, volt/ohm meters, etc in building trades, repair and diagnosis of assigned equipment. Interprets readings from analog and digital measuring devices for diagnosis, repair and maintenance of assigned equipment and systems, and building components. Applies information in maintenance and repair manuals in the repair and upkeep of assigned equipment. Uses diagrams, schematics blue prints and drawings to repair and maintain assigned equipment. Completes job assignments within time constraints set through an established Work Order System while maintaining a chain of accountability for unscheduled exceptions to the immediate supervisor Applies knowledge of the trade in the selection of tools and equipment to make proper diagnosis, repairs, adjustments and modifications to equipment. Uses powered tools for maintenance and repair of equipment and building systems, including drills, sewer machines, grinders, saws etc. Determines proper types of material for construction use. Considers surroundings when performing intrusive and construction evolutions. Sets up and maintains infection control barriers and equipment. Work Schedule:

Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT:
Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. The potential eligibles are then rated against the remainder of the Job Elements:
Ability to lead and perform the work of a Maintenance Mechanics. Knowledge of equipment assembly (has the ability to assemble, install, and repair equipment). Knowledge of maintenance mechanic Technical practices Ability to use Measuring Instruments Ability to Interpret Instructions and train personnel regarding instructions, specifications, including blueprint reading. Ability to use and maintain tools and equipment common to the maintenance trade. Knowledge of Materials used in trades common to the maintenance trade. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note:
A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Heavy Lifting (45 lbs and over); Heavy Carrying (45 lbs and over); Reaching above shoulder; Use of fingers; Both hands required; Walking (up to 8 hours); Standing (up to 4 hours); crawling (up to 0.5 hours); kneeling (up to 2 hours); Repeated bending (up to 1 hour); Climbing (use of legs and arms); Both legs required; Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; Near vision correctable at 13 to 16; both eyes required; depth perception; ability to distinguish basic colors; ability to distinguish shades of colors; Hearing (aid permitted); emotional/mental stability. The incumbent works indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and is exposed to the usual occupational hazards. Must work in steam manholes, unexcavated cellars, attics, pipe spaces, around boilers and high-pressure steam lines. Subject to possible burns and other construction hazards, above normal temperatures and exposure to toxic and explosive vapors. Required to work in noisy, dusty, dirty, and damp places. Occasionally required to work outdoors in bad weather.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
