HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY)

As a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MILITARY), GS-0201-09, you will provide technical expertise and guidance for all military personnel assigned in the State, and oversees the functions of one of the following human resource programs:
Officer Personnel Management (OPM), Enlisted Personnel Management (EPM), Personnel Systems, SIDPERS Interface Branch (SIB), or the Personnel Services Section. Perform other duties as assigned. Military Grades:
E4 through E7 Compatible Military Assignments:
Immaterial, desired MOS 42A, 420A GENERAL
Experience:
Must possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors, this includes military and civilian experiences, completed education, learned skills, obtained knowledge, endorsed abilities, and training program accomplishments:
Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately; Ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit efficient communication; Ability to write English in reports and presentation formats; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings; Ability to assess body language and perceive emotional and/or distress levels; and, Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provided a basic working knowledge of National Guard missions, organizations, and personnel programs. Must have a basic knowledge and experiences of personnel programs gained in a classroom or as an on-the-job trainee. Have knowledge-based competency of human resources business elements and can discuss terminology, concepts, principles, and issues related to this competency. Experienced in using references and resource materials and experienced in program functions such as, maintaining personnel records, counseling, or classification and assignments. Experiences may include performing personnel functions associated with preparing and maintaining position descriptions and manual records, personnel classification or usage, quality force management, managing personnel records and researching record data. Experienced in operating a computer and using varied computer programs. Physical Demands:
The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. Work Environment:
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices and meeting/conference rooms. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
